Description

Mode of action of Mircette:

Ethinylestradiol is an estrogen and Desogestrel is a progestin. The combined effect of these hormones blocks the induction of ovulation and prevents the liberation of an egg from the ovary. These hormones also prevent pregnancy by bringing out some alteration in the cervical mucus and the lining of the uterus that generate trouble for sperm to reach the uterus. Thereby, this prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg in the mother's womb.

Afterward, she needs to ingest one light-green pill orally daily for two days. At last, she needs to ingest one yellow (Ethinylestradiol) pill orally once a day for five following days.
